How do I pick the right psychic reader? Part 4

Sorry to take so long to come back to this but I’ve been a little off balance for the last few days. Most that know me will probably say I’m always a little off, but that’s just me and it’s okay.

I thought I would cover at least two more types of readings for this segment. They are the more popular reads, or I should say, the most often requested by my clients. The first one I want to discuss is a Medium. While I have always seen and communicated with spirits that have passed, even as a small child, I don’t consider myself a medium. The reason behind this would be because I can’t really control it. I will be trying to attend a few workshops to learn how better to deal with this, but for now, I’m not comfortable offering this type of reading. I do have spirits come to me to give messages to their loved ones still here, I’m not always sure my clients are open to hearing the message. Often, I will be doing a psychic or tarot reading, only to have a deceased love one come through for my client. I will pass on their message if the client is open to receiving it. Now enough about my method and problems with it, let’s move on.

Medium
Do you want to know if your loved one suffered before passing? Do you want to know if they are okay? Are there questions that were left unanswered before they passed? These are the types of questions where you would want to have a reading done by a medium. Just as there are different types of readers, so are there different ways mediums get their messages for you. Some only hear the message, others may just see objects, while others can see and carry on a full conversation with the spirit. I don’t feel one is better for you than the other, it really depends on the one you most trust and feel comfortable giving you the message.

I’ve often heard people go to a group type event and get upset because they didn’t receive a message from their loved one. For many skeptics, they will often then feel the medium is a fake and the whole thing was staged. While there may be some fakes out there, this doesn’t really mean the medium was a fake. There are several things to consider in this type of situation. The first being there is only so much time for these events, thus the medium can only do so many readings in the time allotted. Second and most important, while you may be open to hearing from your loved one, their spirit may not be ready to come through. If you choose to try to get a reading through this type of venue, there are a few things you need to do to help this along. The spirit of your loved ones are always around you, so take some time to let them know you will be at the venue and ask them to please come through for you. You might also want to bring a personal item or picture of your passed loved one along to the event. Again, remember the time restraints on this type of situation, so not everyone will be able to be heard.

If you truly want to communicate with your loved ones, I strongly suggest you have a one on one reading with a good medium. They will often ask you to bring along something of the one you are trying to reach, or at least a picture. It will help them to pick up their energy. Again, the spirit has to be willing to come through. Keep in mind, although we have a lot of wonderful technology available to us today, the cell towers do not reach the beyond. In essence, there is no direct phone line to the other side, so the spirit has to be willing to come forward with the message.

Tarot Card Reading
While most people don’t understand there are different types of readings, many think all readers use the tarot. I think by now you understand, tarot reading is just one form of readings. There are many different tarot decks, and each reader picks the one they feel most comfortable using. The deck I use is the original one I started with over 25 years ago, and still use today. I have many other sets I’ve tried over the years, but feel I get a more accurate read with the original set. You might have one reader use the Rider-Wait, while another may use the Robin Wood, Faerie Tarot, or a vast number of others. There is no right or wrong deck, it all depends on how well the reader knows and can interpret the cards they are using.

I’ve had people tell me it can’t be that hard to read Tarot. All you have to do is buy the cards and read the meaning from the book. Well, they would be very wrong in this assumption. If you come across someone that tries to give you a reading in this manner, run, don’t walk, as far away from them as possible. A true reader doesn’t do a reading by the book, but rather by the story the cards tell. There are many different ways to lay the cards, but whatever the layout, the cards should flow into a story. While each card is important to the reading, it can take on a different meaning depending on where it falls in the spread.

The tarot can answer many types of questions; however, not all readers will be open to reading for all questions. Some tarot readers will not do time lines, others have no problem using them. If you need a time line to help answer your questions, be sure to ask the reader beforehand if they offer this as part of their reading. One question that is asked a lot is regarding pregnancy, when it will occur, what the sex will be, and will the child be okay. This is another subject many readers are not comfortable answering. Whatever your questions, always ask up front before the reading if the person giving you the read has a problem giving this type of information. It will make the outcome of the reading more beneficial to you and you’ll be more comfortable during the reading.

As with any type of reading, you should not have to provide a lot of information before the reading. If I’m doing a face to face client, I just ask their first name to make the reading more comfortable for both of us. Because they are there in front of me, I only need them to shuffle their thought and energy into the cards. While this will work with face to face readings, it is a little different with online chat, email or phone readings. Many readers will just ask for a first name, while others ask for a date of birth. I usually ask for the name, however, I often ask the date of birth. My reasoning behind this is I need to pick up your personal energy, and the date of birth assures me I’m getting the right person. Think of it like this, if your name is Mary, I’m sure you know of at least three or four other people with the same first name, however, when you add in the date of birth it narrows it down to you. If there is another person involved, such as spouse, you will need to provide their name and date of birth also.

I hope these articles are helpful to you in deciding what type of reading will best fit your needs. As always, the best way to find a good reader is word of mouth, but if that’s not possible for you just do a little research. If it’s an online community, be sure to read what other clients have to say about that reader. Again, there are a lot of free sites out there, but please be careful about using one. While there are many that are honest, you might want to do a web search to find out reviews and complaints.

How do I pick the right psychic reader? Part 2

As I said in my previous post, there are many different kinds of reading to choose from. Not all readings are the same, nor all all readers as each has a different style or specialty. I will be giving you a little insight into the various types of readings you might come across. It's up to you to choose the one that will best answer your questions.

Also, please keep in mind that you have free will to change the outcome of your life. If the reader tells you one thing and you choose to go a different way, then you will not get the outcome the reader gave you because you changed the aspects of the question. An example of this would be asking when and where you will meet your soul mate. The reader may see you meeting that person in the market on Wednesday, however, if you choose to stay home on that day the likely hood of meeting that person will not happen. Now you may say that means the reader gave you a bad reading, but the real truth is you deliberately used free will to change the outcome.

You must also be open to hearing and accepting the truth of the reading. If you want to know when your ex will come back to you, the truth of the reading may be that you need to make some changes in your life and attitude to make that happen. While this may not be what you wanted to hear, it's the true reality of the situation and things won't change until you do.

Over the next few post, I will give you a little more insight to some of the different ways and styles of readings you may come across. Some I'm not as familiar with as others, and many of them I do not personally do, however, I can refer you to a few very good experts in these fields.

Astrology
Astrology is the science of studying celestial bodies and how their cycles and energy effect our lives. It can give you a deeper understanding of your relationships and give you clues as to why you are attracted to some and repelled by others.

Natal astrology is based on the concept that an individuals personality or life path can be determined by doing a natal chart based on the exact date, time and location of your birth. The astrologer utilizes charts based on your date of birth, sometimes time of birth added in, to give you an indication of the course of your life. This is usually based on the lining of the planets and astrological birth signs as part of the calculations

Horary astrology attempts to answer a question constructing a horoscope for the exact time the questions is asked.

Numerology
Numerology is the use of numeric values, such as your date of birth, and their influences on human life. Readings are based on the belief that your name and date of birth are what determines who you are and what will happen during the course of your life. It can be used to help you with life changes such as moving, changing jobs, investing, or travel, just to name a few.

Aura
Aura readers are able to read and interpret the colors of the aura surrounding your physical body. Every living thing produces it's own energy or aura. An aura is a field of multicolored energies that surround the body. The colors of the aura can change according to your everyday changes. The appearance of your can suggest your mood or personality.

Each color, as well as it's location to a particular part of your body, is taken into consideration when giving you a reading.

This is just my own interpretation of the above types of readings and is by no means a full description. I don't do these type of readings, so I would advise you to go to someone more qualified and will provide you a link to several experts that are better able to help you.

The above website requires you to pay for the readings, it is not free. There are many free sites on the Internet, but remember you get what you pay for and you many have to weed through a lot of fake sites to get a good expert.

The best method for finding a good reader is always word of mouth, but if you don't have someone you can trust to give you a good reference, then do your homework. First and foremost, use common sense and remember if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and you need to be careful. Second, do a little research, see what types of readings they offer, and be sure to read all the information they have posted about what you can expect to receive from them.

How do I pick the right psychic reader is a question I am asked all the time. There are many factors to weigh when trying to decide which reader is right for you. The first thing you need to understand that not all readers are the same. Just as doctors specialize in different fields of medicine, the same holds true for readers. You first must identify what type of reader will best suit your needs and be able to answer the questions you are asking. Let's take a look at the different styles of readings that are available to you and it may help you decide how to pick the best reader for you.

Astrologer - Utilize Charts based on your date of birth, sometimes time of birth added in, to give you an indication of the course of your life. This is usually based on the lining of the planets and astrological birth signs as part of the calculations.

Angel Cards - Much like a tarot card reading. These readers will give your message through the guidance of GOD and the angels.

Cartomancy - These readings are done using a regular deck of playing cards and dates back many decades.

Tarot Cards - These readings are done with the aid of Tarot Cards. With the cards they can give you past, present and future information. Many readers can use the cards to also give you approximate time lines, as well as answer simple yes or no questions. There are many different decks of these cards and most readers choose the set they are most comfortable using.

Numerology - The use of numeric values, such as your date of birth, and their influences on human life.

Aura Readings - Aura readers are able to read and interpret the colors of the aura surrounding your physical body.

Palm Reading - This type of reading is done by studying the lines and surface of your hand.

Tea Leaves - After drinking a cup of tea made with loose tea leaves, the reader will read the leaves that remain in the cup.

Runes - Consists of a reading done with 24 stones laid out in different spreads. The message comes from the markings on the stones. This is one of the oldest forms of divination tools.

Dowsing - This is usually done with a pendulum to locate lost items. Dowsing was often done with rods to find water. It can also be used to answer different types of questions depending on the charts being used by the reader.

Scrying - This type of reading is usually done with a crystal ball, however, a mirror or water can also be used to obtain the message.

Medium - The connect with spirits in the afterlife and are able to deliver personal messages to you from loved ones who have died. Please understand they don't have a direct telephone line to the other side, so the reading will often depend on your loved one willing to come through to them.

Clairaudience - This is the ability to sense or hear sounds not perceived by normal means. They often get their messages as told to them through their guides speaking to them.

Clairsentience - They will use their extra sense to receive messages regarding past, present and future information

These are just a few types of readings available. I will be adding more as we go along, I just wanted to give you an idea of the many different abilities being utilized. I realize this may be a lot of information to take in, and you may need to know a little more about each one to better give you an understanding of what they can offer you.
